| Here is a picture of my 1995 Toyota 4 runner V6. I had owned it for a year and had lifted the truck 7 inches, 4 inches of suspension and 3 inches of body lift. I have 35x12.50x15 BFG All Terrains, Alluminum wheels, XD9000I Winch, 4 KC lights on winch Bar, ARB air lockers front and rear and 5.29 gears (Have the lockers but not shown installed). Anyways, I always am off roading up in the high country and sometimes towing a quad trailer up north as well. There was never enough torque or HP, so I had to change that! I built a custom turbo system in two days for this 4runner. I am currently running 10 lbs of boost, non intercooled, I will intercool it in the summer time though. I have ONE extra injector thats controlled by Megasquirt V2.2 EXTRA code controller. It is a 510cc injector, and it ONLY turns on with duty cylce when it sees anything above one LB of boost. I have a WB LM-1 controller so I can maintain a perfect 12-1 Air Fuel Ratio. It runs GREAT now, after a few blown off hoses, etc, It performs great now. It works by having a pipe that comes off of where the old exhaust used to come off of the left hand manifold, and there is a crossover pipe from the passenger side that dumps into the driver manifold, so I am pulling the exhaust off of both sides. That pipe then goes Up through the fender well, and into the engine compartment again, into the turbo inlet. Then the Down Pipe off of the turbo goes from the engine compartment then back into the inner fender well, and down and out to the 2.5" manderal exhaust system. I have a Greddy TYPE RS blow off valve installed. I am using the STOCK AFM and fuel and spark controll currently as well, with the AFM mounted between the turbo and TB. NOTICE the bracketry that holds up the turbo so the pipes do not crack under the stresses of 4 wheeling. |
